Power Lines Management

Executive Summary

Power line management is extremely important for providing safety and a low number of power outages. Existing vegetation as presented in the right image below might cause damages such as blackouts or fire.

Performing a LiDAR inspection, preventative maintenance can be planned in a timely manner. The image on the left one illustrates the absolute distance of the power lines to the canopy. In that way, high-risk areas can be identified and examined thoroughly. Note that parts of the lower cables are very close to the vegetation.
